Operating Authority

The Fountain Hills Sanitary District is a governmental entity (special taxing district) similar to a school district or improvement district, with the sole purpose to collect, treat, and dispose of wastewater and its by-products.  The Sanitary District was formed and operates in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes Title 48, Chapter 14 – Sanitary Districts.

Annual Budget

The Sanitary District operates on a July 1 – June 30 Fiscal Year.  Each fiscal year a budget is developed, noticed for comment at a public hearing, and adopted by the Board of Directors.
